The Senate of University

The Senate is responsible  for academic governance and especially for regulating:

  1. the admission of students
  2. the curriculum
  3. academic standards
  4. the award of degrees and other qualifications

The Senate is chaired by the Vice-Chancellor, consists of members including academic staff and student members. In addition to its responsibility for academic governance, the Senate has an advisory role extending across most aspects of university work.
