- कैंसर का पता लगाने के लिए बीमार होने वाले का मूत्र लेकर इसका परीक्षण किया जा रहा है। यदि कुछ दिनों पर रखे गए मरीज के मूत्र का रंग बदलता है तो उसके शरीर में कैंसर बीमारी के लक्षण पाए जा रहे है। उसके बाद उसी हिसाब से उसका इलाज शुरु किया जाता है। इंपीरियल कॉलेज लंदन और मैसाचुसेट्स इंस्टीट्यूट ऑफ टेक्नोलॉजी (MIT) के शोधकर्ताओं ने नेचर नैनो टेक्नोलॉजी में इस बारे में अपने रिपोर्ट दिए है ।

- Bharti Airtel launched a converged digital entertainment platform, christened Airtel Xstream to counter Reliance Jio Infocomm’s upcoming home broadband services that go commercial from September 5.
- Breast cancer drugs may force some cancer cells into ‘sleeper mode’, allowing them to potentially come back to life years after initial treatment, said Luca Magnani, lead author of the study from Imperial College London.

- The Expert Appraisal Committee (EAC) for river valley and hydroelectric projects of the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEFCC) approved Rs 4,900 crore projects for interlinking of Kosi and Mechi rivers of Bihar. It became the second major river interlinking project in India while the first was Ken-Betwa project in Madhya Pradesh.
- To cure cardiac diseases, Microsoft India partnered with Apollo Hospitals Group to set up a National Clinical Coordination Committee (NCCC), for guiding two companies on all cardiovascular-related Artificial Intelligence (AI) projects. It will work for the AI-powered Cardiovascular Disease (CVD) Risk Score API (application program interface) built on Microsoft Azure (cloud computing service), to predict the risk of disease.
- Former Indian cricketer Kapil Dev was honoured with Bharat Gaurav Award 2019 on the 99th foundation day of the East Bengal Club, Kolkata.
