  • Modi 2.0 completes 100 Days. Modi Government took  five major decisions within the first three months of the new administration. These include the revocation of Jammu and Kashmir’s special status and the state’s bifurcation into two Union Territories, the amendment of the anti-terror Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, the passage of the triple talaq bill in Parliament, amendment of the Motor Vehicles Act, and merger of 10 public sector banks into four units.

  • The 9th edition of joint maritime naval exercise 2019 between India and Srilanka (SLINEX) started in the port of Visakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh. Two Sri Lankan Navy Ships (SLNS) Sindurala and Suranimala would participate in the exercise.

  • कर्मचारी राज्य बिमा निगम ने भारतीय स्टेट बैंक के साथ समझौता ज्ञापन पर हस्ताक्षर किये है ।
    कारगिल विजय दिवस की 20वीं वर्षगांठ के अवसर पर वायुसेना कारगिल से कोहिमा नामक अल्ट्रा मैराथन का आयोजन किया है। 4500 किलोमीटर की इस मैराथन को ‘कारगिल टू कोहिमा : ग्लोरी रन” नाम दिया गया है।
  • रक्षा मंत्री राजनाथ सिंह ने हाल ही में दक्षिण कोरिया में ‘सीओल रक्षा वार्ता 2019’ को संबोधित किया। इस रक्षा वार्ता की थीम ‘एकजुट होकर शांति स्थापना : चुनौतियाँ तथा विज़न’ थी। रक्षामंत्री तीन दिवसीय दक्षिण कोरिया की यात्रा पर गये हैं।
  • हिंदुजा ग्रुप की कम्पनी अशोक लेलैंड हैवी ड्यूटी ट्रक के लिए BS-VI प्रमाणीकरण हासिल करने वाली पहली वाणिज्यिक वाहन निर्माता कंपनी बन गयी है। शुरुआत में इन ट्रकों को एनसीआर-राजस्थान जैसे क्षेत्रों में बेचा जायेगा, जहाँ पर बीएस-VI इंधन उपलब्ध है।


  • Up to now, it has taken a great deal of computational effort to detect dependencies between more than two high-dimensional variables, in particular when complicated non-linear relationships are involved. Mathematicians have now developed a dependence measure called ‘distance multivariance’.
  • Ordinary people see beauty in complex mathematical arguments in the same way they can appreciate a beautiful landscape painting or a piano sonata — and you don’t need to be a mathematician to get it, a new study by Yale University and the University of Bath has revealed it and published in science journal Cognition. To be remember  that a mathematical proof is an argument which convinces people something is true.
  • “The quantum-to-classical transition occurs when you add more and more particles to a quantum system,” said Patrick Coles of the Physics of Condensed Matter and Complex Systems group at Los Alamos National Laboratory, “such that the weird quantum effects go away and the system starts to behave more classically. For these systems, it’s essentially impossible to use a classical computer to study the quantum-to-classical transition. We could study this with our algorithm and a quantum computer consisting of several hundred qubits, which we anticipate will be available in the next few years based on the current progress in the field.
  • Quantum internet : A research team lead by Osaka University demonstrated how information encoded in the circular polarization of a laser beam can be translated into the spin state of an electron in a quantum dot, each being a quantum bit and a quantum computer candidate. The achievement represents a major step towards a “quantum internet,” in which future computers can rapidly and securely send and receive quantum information.
