Personnel and Administrative Reform Dept. Govt of WB-India

The Personnel and Administrative Reform Dept. Govt of  West Bengal is  responsible for  controlling the cadre borne in IAS, WBCS (Executive), West Bengal Secretariat Service, West General Service, West Bengal Assistants & Typists in the West Bengal Secretariat.The Honourable Chief Minister of the Government of West Bengal is the Minister-in-charge of this department.

The Personnel and Administrative Reform Dept. Govt of  West Bengal is  responsible for  controlling the cadre borne in IAS, WBCS (Executive), West Bengal Secretariat Service, West General Service, West Bengal Assistants & Typists in the West Bengal Secretariat.

The Honourable Chief Minister(CM) of the Government of West Bengal is the Minister-in-charge of this department. CM works through a Principal Secretary.

The department Supervise of all the functions of S.R. & A/cs. CellCell The smallest unit that can live on its own and that makes up all living organisms and the tissues of the body. A cell has three main parts: the cell membrane, the nucleus, and the cytoplasm. The cell membrane surrounds the cell and controls the substances that go into and out of the cell. The nucleus is a structure inside the cell that contains the nucleolus and most of the cell’s DNA. It is also where most RNA is made. The cytoplasm is the fluid inside the cell. It contains other tiny cell parts that have specific functions, including the Golgi complex, the mitochondria, and the endoplasmic reticulum. The cytoplasm is where most chemical reactions take place and where most proteins are made. The human body has more than 30 trillion cells.. Relating to maintenance and updation of Service Book of I.A.S & WBCS (Exe) Officers and Supervision of functions of WBCS Cell in respect of Pension , GPF, Health Scheme of WBCS (Exe) Officers. Supervision of work related to placement of fund, staff etc. It also supervision of all matters related to transfer, posting, promotion of Group A, Group B & Group C employees of West Bengal Secretariat and supervision of all Group Insurance matters for IAS and IPS Officers. Initiation & Supervision of all establishment matters related to the IAS Officers Supervision of Establishment matters (Appointment, Transfer, Posting, Confirmation, Foreign service contribution, maintenance of Cadre list WBCS (Exe) Officers) Supervision of all establishment matter relating to the employees of WBCS Cell.

Regarding Administrative Reforms and redressal of Public Grievances this Department manages the following offices and activities: 

(i) the office of the Vigilance Commission,

(ii) the Resident Commissioner, West Bengal at New Delhi,

(iii) the Administrative Training Institute(ATI) at Bidhannagar, kolkata,

(iv) the lokayukta, West Bengal and The West Bengal Lokayukta Act, 2003

(v) the West Bengal Information Commission and Allotment of fund & drawing up of schemes for development of infrastructure at district and Sub-division levels.

(vi) The Right to Information Act, 2005 which is a Central Act and
