Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah by a statement said that Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has decided to organize Hajj this year under strict health precautions. This shall be for a limited number of pilgrims from among only nationals and residents of Saudi Arabia to ensure the safe performance of the rites and protection of all pilgrims against the threats of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic as indicated in the Ministry’s statement.
The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah Saudi Arabia is the competent authority for everything related to the affairs of pilgrims, Hajj and Umrah. It is the governmental body authorized to coordinate amongst the different governmental sectors and the officials of Hajj and Umrah in Islamic countries and the rest of the world. The ministry’s role extends to planning, implementation, supervision and monitoring to ensure that the best services are provided to visitors to the two Holy Mosques.
