The 16th World Sanskrit Conference was held in Bangkok, Thailand, from 28th June till 2nd July 2015, co-organised by the International Association of Sanskrit Studies and the Sanskrit Studies Centre, Silpakorn University in Bangkok, Thailand. The venue was the Renaissance Hotel. This WSC was under the patronage of HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn, in whose honour it was held on the occasion of her birthday.

It has been endorsed by numerous organizations.
The United States has evacuated its largest airbase in Afghanistan, Bagram. Only a handful of troops are left. The day is now not far when this era of Western oppression will end and Afghanistan will be cleansed of all foreign forces, God willing.
As the Islamic Emirate has adopted a peaceful policy of amnesty and amalgamation that has eliminated the causes of war in large regions of the country and put an end to bloodshed, it at the same time has also proven its genuine commitment towards dialogue and understanding through its political activities. In stark contrast, all leaders of the Kabul administration are busy with drawing up military plans and issuing threats, with airstrikes on civilian areas, bellicose propaganda and curtailment free media serving as examples of their undertakings.
The Constitutional Court is responsible for the prior verification of the constitutionality and legality of proposals for national, regional and local referenda, envisaged in n.º 1 of article 115, n.º 2 of article 232 and in articles 240 and 256 of the Constitution, including consideration of requirements relating to the respective voting population, and for whatever else it has competence for according to the law regarding the implementation of such referenda.
Minorities shall be ensured the right to constitute and engage in a democratic opposition to the Government and to the executive bodies of the Autonomous Regions and of local authorities of a representative nature, as laid down by the Constitution or the law.
The present Law regulates the terms and conditions under which groups of registered electors exercise the right to initiate legislation at the Assembly of the Republic in accordance with Article 167 of the Constitution, together with their participation in the legislative procedure to which they have given rise.
Political parties shall contribute to the free formation and plural expression of the popular will and to the organisation of political power, with respect for the principles of national independence, the unity of the state and political democracy.
The Constituent Assembly affirms the Portuguese people’s decision to defend national independence, guarantee citizens’ fundamental rights, establish the basic principles of democracy, ensure the primacy of a democratic state based on the rule of law and open up a path towards a socialist society, with respect for the will of the Portuguese people and with a view to the construction of a country that is freer, more just and more fraternal.
