Forest cover in India under the National Forest Policy 1988-The National Forest Policy 1988 envisages to have a minimum of one-third of the total land area of the country under forest or tree cover. Funds Released to Various Wakf Institutions for digitization of Waqf records and GIS Mapping of Waqf properties by Govt of India-This Ministry is implementing two schemes namely i) Qaumi Waqf Board Taraqqiati Scheme (QWBTS) and ii) Shahari Waqf Sampatti Vikas Yojana (SWSVY) through Central Waqf Council (CWC). Under QWBTS, financial assistance is released to State Waqf Boards (SWBs) towards computerization and digitization of Waqf records and GIS Mapping of Waqf properties. Under the scheme the Ministry also supports the SWBs for deployment of manpower viz. The YouTube accounts blocked by the Ministry had a total subscriber base of over 1 crore 20 lakh, and their videos had over 130 crore views. Additionally, two Twitter accounts, two Instagram accounts, and one Facebook account have also been blocked by the Government for being involved in spreading coordinated anti-India disinformation over the internet.

Govt of India approves Continuation of National Scheme for PM POSHAN in Schools for five more years-The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA), chaired by the Hon’ble Prime Minister has approved the continuation of ‘National Scheme for PM POSHAN in Schools’ for the five year period 2021-22 to 2025-26 with the financial outlay of ₹ 54061.73 crores from the Central Government and ₹ 31,733.17 crore from State Governments & UT administrations. Guidelines relating to conduct of guarantee business in India-An important criterion for judging the soundness of a banking institution is the size and character, not only of its assets portfolio but also, of its contingent liability commitments such as guarantees, letters of credit, etc. As a part of business, banks issue guarantees on behalf of their customers for various purposes. The guarantees executed by banks comprise both performance guarantees and financial guarantees. A Public Prosecutor is necessary for effective functioning of the Fast Track Courts. Therefore, a Public Prosecutor may be earmarked for each such court and the expenses for the same shall be borne out of the allocation under the head "Fast Track Courts". However, it is advisable to receive the complete schedule of COVID-19 vaccine for protecting oneself against this disease and also to limit the spread of this disease to the close contacts including family members, friends, relatives and co-workers.”

Parliament passed Airports Economic Regulatory Authority of India (Amendment) Bill, 2021-The bill allows tariff determination of a 'group of airports' by way of amending the definition of 'major airport.' The bill amends the provisions of the law in relation to tariffs for single airports. The intention of the government is to develop not only the high traffic volume & profitable airports but also the low traffic volume of non-profitable airports.

The judges Inquiry Bill 2006 : Report of the Parliamentary Standing committee-2007-The in-house procedure is essentially meant for disciplining the Judges, against whom complaints of judicial misconduct and misbehaviour were received. The in-house procedure rests on the premise that there may be complaints casting reflection on the independence and integrity of a Judge which is bound to have a prejudicial effect on the image of the higher judiciary. In the in-house procedure, a complaint against a judge is dealt with at an appropriate level within the institution. It is examined by his peers and no outside agency is involved, thus the independence of judiciary is maintained.

TRAI Consultation Paper on “Issues Relating to Media Ownership”-Media pluralism is the founding stone on which the fourth pillar of democracy rests. The idea of media pluralism acts as a bulwark of a strong and healthy democracy in a country. Media pluralism is antithetical to the phenomenon of concentration of media ownership. The concentration of media ownership may restrict the ‘Freedom of Speech and Expression’ as enshrined in Article 19(1)(a) of the Constitution of India. The core idea is the active citizenry, which is the foundation of democracy, and therefore requires presence of diverse voices and perspectives in public debates. The
concentration of media ownership impacts the independence of the fourth estate.
