Learned lawyer for the State opposes the prayer for anticipatory bail. Having considered the materials on record and bearing in mind the nature of allegations in the light of the aforesaid submission on behalf of the petitioners that there is a pending civil dispute between the parties, we are inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioners.
It is submitted on behalf of the petitioner that she is a victim of police excess. She instituted a writ proceeding before this Court alleging abuse of police powers by the local police administration. Learned counsel for the State opposes the prayer for bail and submits that the petitioner was illegally carrying on usurious business and had cheated a number of persons.
