Adani is innocent unless & until proven guilty: U.S. Attorneys

Adanis are innocent: Gautam S. Adani and seven senior business executives have been indicted for allegedly orchestrating a scheme to bribe Indian government officials with over $250 million to secure solar energy contracts. The indictment, presented by the U.S. Attorney’s Office, details accusations of securities and wire fraud aimed at misleading U.S. investors to raise capital for the Indian Energy Company. The executives allegedly made false statements about anti-bribery practices and concealed the bribery from investigators. In addition, some defendants are accused of obstructing justice during the investigation. All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
