Murder Case: Surupa Guha w/o – Indranath Guha(ex-Principal of South Point School and Friend of Aparna Sen)-1976

Actress Aparna Sen was very close to Indranath Guha. Her husband Sanjoy ended up taking his own life.  Lal Bazar Detective Department had interrogated Aparna in connection with the Surupa Guha case. Rumour was rampant in the media that Surupa threatened Indra to disclose his illicit relationship with Aparna and to expose his ‘Educated’ family to the world. Chief minister Siddhartha Sankar Roy assured for fare investigation.

Religious offences under Pakistan Penal Code 1860

Whoever destroys, damages or defiles any place of worship, or any object held sacred by any class of persons with the intention of thereby insulting the religion of any class of persons or with the knowledge that any class of persons is likely to consider such destruction damage or defilement as an insult to their religion. shall be punished with imprisonment of either description for a term which may extend to two years, or with fine, or with both.
