In early 2010, the Kurdish regional parliament passed a law establishing a disputed areas fund to help
implement projects regarding housing, provision of services, sewage, education, health, and other policy
areas. The KRG Ministry of Agriculture apparently has also begun providing loans to farmers in the disputed areas. “Kurdistan Regional Parliament Passes Disputed Areas Fund Project Law,” and, April 27, 2010, and “KRG to Provide Loans to Farmers in Disputed Areas,” Aso, July 22, 2010
