The International Islamic Court of Justice’s (IICJ) statute was adopted in 1987. The statute states that the court will use Islamic law, or Shari’ah, as the fundamental law to resolve international disputes. The IICJ is the main judicial organ of the Organisation of the Islamic Conference.
