On January 23, 2025, the President ordered the declassification and release of records related to the assassinations of John F. Kennedy, Robert F. Kennedy, and Martin Luther King Jr. The announcement emphasized the need for transparency more than 50 years after these events and acknowledged the public’s right to access information.
