महात्मा गांधी जी की 150वीं जयंती मनाई जा रही है। गांधी जी के वो 5 आंदोलन जिन्होंने आज भी लोगों को अंदर तक हिला रखा है। 2 अक्टूबर 1869 में मोहनदास करमचंद गांधी का जन्म हुआ। गांधी जी के पिता का नाम करमचंद उत्तमचंद गांधी था और वो पोरबंदर के दीवान थे। 1906 में ट्रांसवाल एशियाटिक रजिस्ट्रेशन एक्ट के खिलाफ पहला सत्याग्रह अभियान चलाया। 1920 में वो भारतीय राष्ट्रीय कांग्रेस पार्टी में शामिल हुए और 26 जनवरी 1930 को ब्रिटिश हुकूमत से भारत की आजादी का ऐलान किया। इसके बाद 1917 में उन्होंने चंपारण सत्याग्रह, असहयोग आंदोलन जैसे कई आदोंलन चलाए।

  • असहयोग आंदोलन-1920 से महात्मा गांधी तथा भारतीय राष्ट्रीय कांग्रेस के नेतृत्व में असहयोग आंदोलन चलाया गया था।
  • नमक सत्याग्रह -गांधी ने 12 मार्च, 1930 में साबरमती आश्रम जो कि अहमदाबाद स्थित है, दांडी गांव तक 24 दिनों का पैदल मार्च निकाला था।
  • दलित आंदोलन- महात्मा गांधी जी ने 8 मई 1933 से छुआछूत विरोधी आंदोलन की शुरुआत की थी। जबकि गांधी जी ने अखिल भारतीय छुआछूत विरोधी लीग की स्थापना 1932 में की थी।
  • भारत छोड़ो आंदोलन – अगस्त 1942 में गांधी जी ने ”भारत छोड़ो आंदोलन” की शुरुआत की
  • चंपारण सत्याग्रह – चंपारण आंदोलन भारत का पहला नागरिक अवज्ञा आंदोलन था जो बिहार के चंपारण जिले में महात्मा गांधी की अगुवाई में 1917 को शुरू हुआ था।

Ahmedabad: On the occasion of the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday declared India to be an ‘open defecation free’ (ODF) country.

Nagpur: Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat, on Wednesday, claimed that Mahatma Gandhi had visited an RSS shakha during the time of Partition, interacted with swayamsevaks and was impressed by their discipline and absence of divisive feelings.

Child trafficking case: Delhi court has ordered framing of charges against seven people for allegedly abducting children, including newborns, and selling them. It observed that trafficking in human beings is a multi-layered phenomena that can take different forms and occur in various industries.

 700 electric buses: The Uttar Pradesh cabinet on1st October night gave its approval to run 700 electric buses in 14 districts of the state. The cabinet presided over by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath gave its nod to run 32-seater battery-run AC buses in 14 districts of  Lucknow, Meerut, Allahabad, Agra, Ghaziabad, Kanpur, Varanasi, Moradabad, Aligarh, Jhansi, Bareilly, Gorakhpur, Shahjahanpur and Mathura-Vrindavan. 

West Bengal: On September 28, the Midnapore railway station of West Bengal became the 5000th railway station to be enabled with Wi-fi. The project for providing Wi-fi was started by RailTel in 2016, with Mumbai central railway station being the first for wifi implementation.

BrahMos : On September 30, the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), successfully test fired the land attack version of the BrahMossupersonic cruise from Chandipur coast in Odisha in its Balasore district. INTERNATIONAL AFFAIRS

Negotiation between North Korea and the United States: North Korea and the United States have agreed to hold working-level de-nuclearisation negotiations on October 5 in a bid to accelerate Pyongyang’s disarmament process, the reclusive communist country’s state media said on1st October. Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) reported that Pyongyang and Washington have agreed to hold “preliminary contact on October 4 and hold working-level negotiations on October 5.”

Russia F1 Grand Prix:  On September 29, Britain’s Lewis Carl Davidson Hamilton commonly known as Lewis Hamiltonof Mercedes, won the 2019 Russia F1 Grand Prix (Formula 1 GP) at Sochi Autodrom race track in Russia. Mercedes ValteriBottas(Finland) and Ferrari’s Charles Lecrec (Monaco) won the second and third spot respectively. By this win, Hamilton became all-time record holder, winning his 143rd Grand Prix totally, surpassing Michael Schumacher’s(Germany) mark which he held for 18 years.

Rol.a.Cola candy: Biscuits and confectionery Major Parle Products expects its Rol.a.Cola candy to clock sales ofRs.100 crore, accounting for 10% of its overall turnonver in the first 12 months of relaunching the brand in India after a gap of 13 years, according to a senior company official.

Meghalaya:The Meghalaya government has signed an agreement with a major cement firm for buying plastic waste to be used as fuel instead of coal for producing clinkers.Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma made this announcement during an official programme to mark the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi in State capital Shillong today.

PMC bank: The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) appointed Jai Bhagwan Bhoria as the new administrator of the Punjab and Maharashtra Cooperative(PMC) Bank Ltd, Mumbai succeeding S.Waryam Singh and it superseded the existing Board.

Aegon Life Insurance:On September 27,  Indian life insurance provider, Aegon Life Insurance has signed a Corporate Agency Agreement with Paytm, an Indian e-commerce payment system to offer comprehensive life insurance products.

 World Hindu Economic Forum: A 3-day event of 7th World Hindu Economic Forum (WHEF) 2019 held at Hotel Grand Hyatt in Mumbai, Maharashtra from 27- 29, September, with the theme “Prosperous Society: Stronger Society” to bring together financially successful members in Hindu society such as such as traders, bankers, technocrats, investors, industrialists to share business knowledge, expertise and resources with their fellow brethren.
