To address these concerns, the Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology (MeitY) has issued 1,298 blocking directions between 2022 and 2024 under the Information Technology (IT) Act, 2000. The focus remains on making the internet a safe, trusted, and accountable space.
Legal Framework Governing Online Gaming in India

Theย IT Act, of 2000ย serves as the primary law regulating online platforms. Under this Act, the government has the power to:
