All India Muslim Personal Law Board (AIMPLB) makes a  statement today that Shariah Court shall be opened in every district in India.  Board member Zafaryab Jilani said that the Sharia Board is not a Court. He also accused the RSS and BJP of doing politics on this matter. He said that RSS and BJP are doing politics in the name of Sharia Court. Jilani also made it clear that the board did not even talk about making Shariah Court in every district. He said that our motive is to get it established there, where it is needed. Jilani also said this, ‘The Board is working with its full responsibility. It will organize workshops across the country to spread awareness. ‘ On this issue, Specialist and Vice-Chancellor of National Academy Legal Studies and Research Faizan Mustafa says, “There are about 100 such Shariah Board (Darul Kaza) in the country already. Now more 100 will open, then it will not make any difference. ‘Professor Mustafa said that the Supreme Court has said that Darul Kaza is not a parallel judicial system. There is a ban on the creation of separate Courts. The  Supreme Court has said, without mentioning the case citation, that it is a private informal dispute settlement mechanism. The law allows that someone may solve their issues out of Court. The legal system of the country itself allows you to resolve your civil cases, if you wish, by mutual consultation outside the Court or between any other people. There is a different kind of reaction on this whole dispute from all sides. While on the one hand Karnataka Minority Welfare Minister Z.A Khan described this proposal as good, while Wasim Rizvi of the UP Shia Central Waqf Board termed it against National interest. In a conversation with ANI, Wasim said, ‘There is a Constitution in the country. Judges are appointed on the basis of this Constitution. There is no place for Sharia Court in the country. Who is the Muslim Personal Law Board to start Parallel Courts? This is treason.
