OXFORD CITY COUNCIL

THE OXFORD CITY COUNCIL ALCOHOL CONSUMPTION IN PUBLIC PLACES ORDER 2006

The Oxford City Council (โ€œthe Councilโ€), in exercise of the powers conferred on it by the Criminal Justice and Police Act 2001, section 13, having satisfied itself that there is nuisance or annoyance being caused to members of the public or sections of the public and/or incidents of disorder within its area and that these are associated with the consumption of intoxicating liquor, makes the following Order:

The land described in the Schedule below and shown edged in blue on the map attached to this Order, being land in the area of the Council which is land to which the Criminal Justice and Police Act 2001 applies, is hereby designated for the purposes of that Act.

The Oxford City Council Alcohol Consumption in Public Places Order (Oxford) 2002 and The Oxford City Council Alcohol Consumption in Public Places Order (Oxford) 2003 are hereby revoked.

This Order may be cited as The Oxford City Council Alcohol Consumption in Public Places Order 2006 and shall come into force on 5th May 2006.

The area to be designated is all those public places falling within the administrative area of The Oxford City Council (as defined by the Local Government Act 1972) except those places defined by section 14 of the Criminal Justice and Police Act 2001.
