गर्भपातः (Abortion)

गर्भपातः एकः उपचारः अस्ति येन गर्भावस्था समाप्ता क्रियते। अयं औषधि-सेवनद्वारा वा शल्यचिकित्सया सम्पन्नः भवति। भारतम् अवस्थितः BPAS, MSI Reproductive Choices UK, NUPAS इत्यादिके संगठनेषु सम्पर्कं कर्तुं प्रणालीः अस्ति। गर्भपातः सामान्यतः २४ सप्ताहानां पूर्वं क्रियते, विशेष परिस्थितिषु तस्य क्षणाम् अधिकः एकान्तः। गर्भपातस्य निर्णयः स्त्रियाः स्वयमेव कुर्वन्ति, यत्र चिकित्सकाः एवं परामर्शदाता मार्गदर्शनं ददाति। गर्भपातानन्तरं विश्रान्तिः आवश्यकः अस्ति, यः सामान्यतः सुरक्षितः उपचारः गण्यते। गर्भपातः पुनः गर्भधारणां न बाधते, यः गर्भनिरोधकस्य उपयोगं आवश्यकतः दर्शयति।

ब्रिटिश सन्दर्भ

गर्भपातः – प्रक्रिया,एवं नियमाः

गर्भपातः एकः उपचारः अस्ति येन गर्भावस्था समाप्ता क्रियते। अयं उपचारः “गर्भसमापनः” इत्यपि कथ्यते। गर्भपातः औषधि-सेवनद्वारा अथवा शल्यचिकित्सया सम्पन्नः भवति।

गर्भपातं कथं प्राप्तुं शक्यते?

गर्भपातः केवलं चिकित्सालये (NHS) अथवा अनुमोदिते चिकित्साकेंद्रे चिकित्सकस्य देखरेखायामेव सम्पन्नः भवति।

मुख्यतः ३ मार्गाः
  1. स्वतः सम्पर्कः: British Pregnancy Advisory Service (BPAS), MSI Reproductive Choices UK, NUPAS इत्यादीनां संगठनेषु सम्पर्कं कुर्वन्तु।
  2. GP चिकित्सकस्य मार्गदर्शनम्: यदि चिकित्सकः गर्भपातस्य प्रति आपत्तिं दर्शयति, अन्यः चिकित्सकः नियुक्तः करिष्यते।
  3. यौनस्वास्थ्यकेंद्रे सम्पर्कः: (पारिवारिक नियोजन केंद्रः वा GUM क्लिनिकः) गर्भपात-सेवायै परामर्शं कुर्वन्तु।

गर्भपाताय प्रतीक्षा समयः २ सप्ताहाः अधिकः न भवेत्। इच्छुकाः शुल्कं दत्त्वा (निःशुल्क NHS सेवा त्यक्त्वा) निजी चिकित्सालये अपि गर्भपातं करवितुं शक्नुवन्ति।

गर्भपातः कदा क्रियते?

  • सामान्यतः २४ सप्ताहानां पूर्वं गर्भपातः क्रियते।
  • विशेष परिस्थितिषु (मातुः जीवनं संकटे वा शिशोः विकलांगता) २४ सप्ताहात् परं अपि गर्भपातः सम्भवः।

गर्भपातः शीघ्रं कृतः चेत्, न्यूनः संकटं भवति।

गर्भपाताय निर्णयः

गर्भपातं कर्तुं निर्णयः स्त्रियाः स्वयमेव कुर्वन्ति।

मार्गदर्शनं एवं परामर्शः उपलब्धः:
  • चिकित्सकः वा GP
  • गर्भपात-केंद्रे परामर्शदाता
  • BPAS, Brook (२५ वर्षेभ्यः नवयुवानां कृते), MSI Reproductive Choices UK, NUPAS

युवतयः (१६ वर्षेभ्यः कनिष्ठाः) गुप्तता संरक्षितं भविष्यति। यदि गर्भपातं न कुर्वन्तुं परामर्शं ददाति, तत् स्थानं गर्भपाताय उपयुक्तं न स्यात्।

गर्भपातस्य प्रकाराः

  1. औषधीय गर्भपातः (“गर्भपात-पिल”): द्वौ औषधीय सेवनानि २४-४८ तासाभ्यन्तरे।
  2. शल्यचिकित्सीय गर्भपातः: गर्भं चिकित्सायाः द्वारा निष्कास्य, रोगिणी गृहं प्रत्यागच्छति।

गर्भपातानन्तरं विश्रान्तिः आवश्यकः।

जोखिमः एवं भविष्यः

गर्भपातः सुरक्षितः उपचारः अस्ति। किन्तु न्यूनः संकटं स्यात्:

  • गर्भाशयस्य संक्रमणम्।
  • गर्भांशस्य शेषत्वम्।
  • अत्यधिकं रक्तस्रवणम्।

गर्भपातः पुनः गर्भधारणे बाधा न करिष्यति। गर्भपातानन्तरं गर्भधारणं शीघ्रं सम्भवम्। यदि गर्भं न इच्छन्ति, गर्भनिरोधकं उपयोगं कुर्वन्तु।

यदि भवतः गृहे चिकित्सागर्भपातः भवति तर्हि गर्भस्य समाप्तिः इति सुनिश्चित्य विशेषप्रकारस्य गर्भपरीक्षा अथवा स्कैन् करणीयम् ।

यदि भवतः शल्यक्रियाद्वारा गर्भपातः भवति तर्हि सामान्यसंज्ञाहरणस्य, शामकस्य (sedative) च दुष्प्रभावाः अपि भवितुम् अर्हन्ति । गर्भपातस्य अनन्तरं भवन्तः एकप्रकारस्य भावानाम् (emotion) अनुभवं कर्तुं शक्नुवन्ति । एतत् सामान्यम् ।
