The Serampore College Act 1918

The Bengal Act 4 of 1918, also known as the Serampore College Act, superseded the Royal Charter of Incorporation and the Statute and Regulation of the Serampore College. It enlarged the College Council, outlined the constitution of the Council, and established the College Faculty and Senate. The Act allowed delegation of powers and duties of the Council and Master to the Faculty and defined the process for granting degrees. It also detailed the effect of the Act on previous Charters and Regulations.
