Request for establishment of Video Conferencing facilities for the Legal interviews and personal communication to the inmates with their counsels and family members during the COVID -19 pandemic Situation
On the basis of a representation preferred by Mr. Arjun Chowdhury Advocate of the Calcutta High Court, the West Bengal Govt has directed to the ADG & IG Correctional Services of West Bengal to take appropriate measures to establish video conferencing facilities in all jails of West Bengal for the interest of the prisoners, their family members as well as the jail visiting advocates.
