In exercise of the power conferred by sub-section (2) of section 1 of the West Bengal Thika Tenancy (Acquisition and Regulation) (Amendment) Act, 2019 (West Ben. Act XI of 2019) (hereinafter referred to as the said Act.), the Governor is pleased hereby to specify the 19th day of September, 2019 as the date with effect from which the said Act shall come into force.
