Due to missing of mind, the value of a witness of a woman is half of a man in Islam
Inferior quality of women’s intelligence
Sahih al-Bukhari 2658ย (Book 52, Hadith 22)
Narrated Abu Sa’id Al-Khudri: The Prophetย ๏ทบย said, “Isn’t the witness of a woman equal to half of that of a man?” The woman said, “Yes”. He said, “This is because of the missing of a woman’s mind”.
Deduction
- Witness of a woman equal to half of that of a man
- The woman said, “Yes”
- The Prophet explained why it is so: This is because of the missing of a woman’s mind (nuqsan).
- Women are lacking in reason and religious commitment

The Prophet (๏ทบ) said, “I looked at Paradise and saw that the majority of its residents were the poor, and I looked at the (Hell) Fire and saw that the majority of its residents were women.” ( Sahih al-Bukhari-5198)
