The Riksdag agreed to the social committee’s proposal for a new law on certain surgical interventions in the genitals and a new law on gender determination in certain cases, as well as a proposal for a law on the repeal of the law on gender determination in certain cases.

The decision was preceded by a vote on whether the matter should be referred back to the social committee, that is, sent back to the committee for further preparation.

In the vote on deportation, 94 members voted yes, 234 members voted no and 0 members abstained from voting. 21 members were absent.
