• The  Indian government yesterday announced that Syndicate Bank will be merged with Canara Bank, while Allahabad Bank will be amalgamated with Indian Bank.
• The Home ministry published NRC list yesterday morning in two parts — the supplementary list of inclusion containing the names of applicants who were declared ineligible for inclusion in last year’s complete draft NRC but were later found eligible; and the exclusion list, containing the names of people found ineligible for inclusion. The number of those excluded stands at 19,06,657.
• In a message in view of Hindi Pakhwara, a 15-day annual celebration by the Union government from September 1 to 15, NVS commissioner Bishwajit Kumar Singh has written that Hindi is the connecting link for all Indian languages.
• The landing module, comprising lander Vikram and rover Pragyan, will separate from the orbiter on Monday (September 2) or early Tuesday.
• Pak to provide consular access to Kulbhushan Jadhav .

• इंडिया के टेलीफोन नेटवर्क एयरटेल ने एक बार फिर स्पीड के मामले में सभी टेलीकॉम ऑपरेटर्स को पछाड़कर आगे है। मोबाइल नेटवर्क स्पीड मेजरमेंट फर्म ओकला [Ookla] ने अपनी रिपोर्ट में कहा है कि अपने प्रतिद्वंदी मोबाइल नेटवर्क ऑपरेटर्स के मुकाबले एयरटेल सबसे अच्छा नेटवर्क और सबसे हाई स्पीड डाटा सर्विस देने में कामयाब रहा है।
•  Motor Vehicles (Amendment) Act, 2019 आज से देशभर में लागू हो गया है। रैश ड्राइविंग पर 1 हजार से 5 हजार रुपये चालान कटेगा। अब बिना ड्राइविंग लाइसेंस के वाहन चलाने पर 500 रुपये की जगह 5 हजार रुपये का चालान कटेगा। सड़क नियमों को तोड़ने पर 100 रुपये की जगह 500 रुपये का चालान कर दिया गया है।
• महिंद्रा एंड महिंद्रा के सीईओ आनंद महिंद्रा ने उदयपुर के प्रिंस लक्ष्यराज सिंह मेवाड़ को महिंद्रा थार 700 लिमिटेड एडिशन (Mahindra Thar 700 Limited Edition) गिफ्ट दी है। महिंद्रा थार 700 लिमिटेड एडिशन में 2498 cc का NEF TCI-CRDe डीजल इंजन दिया गया है जो कि 3800 Rpm पर 105 BHP की पावर और 1800-2000 Rpm पर 247 NM का टॉर्क जनरेट करता है।
