0–2 minutes: The Alphabet (Essentials Only)

Greek has 24 letters. Here are the ones you’ll use most:

2–5 minutes: Basic Phrases

Hello: Γεια (Ya)
Good morning: Καλημέρα (Kaliméra)
Good evening: Καλησπέρα (Kalispéra)
Please / You’re welcome: Παρακαλώ (Parakaló)
Thank you: Ευχαριστώ (Efharistó)
Yes: Ναι (Ne)
No: Όχι (Óhi)
How are you?: Τι κάνεις; (Ti kánis?)
I’m fine: Καλά (Kalá)

5–8 minutes: Pronouns

I — εγώ (egó)
You — εσύ (esý)
He — αυτός (aftós)
She — αυτή (aftí)
We — εμείς (emís)
They — αυτοί/αυτές (aftí/aftés)

8–12 minutes: Basic Grammar

1. Greek is very regular. Verbs follow patterns.

Example: είμαι (I am)

Masculine: ο
Feminine: η
Neuter: το

Examples:
