Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS)

Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS) is the prime official agency of Pakistan, responsible for collection, compilation and dissemination of reliable and timely statistical information to the policy makers, planners and researchers. It publishes a variety of reports, based on primary and secondary data, especially on economics and social aspects of the country.

Population Census in Pakistan

The census organization was established in 1950 as a part and parcel of Ministry of Home Affairs and first three censuses were conducted by this organization while working under that Ministry. After 1972 Census, Census Organization was established on a permanent footing and was made an attached department of Ministry of Interior, so as to maintain expertise, experience and continuity which used to be lost after every census as was the case in 1951 and 1961.

India seeks 50% reduction in Pakistan High Commission Strength

The Pakistan High Commissioner in India was summoned today to the Ministry of External Affairs and informed that India had repeatedly expressed concern about the activities of officials of his High Commission. They have been engaged in acts of espionage and maintained dealings with terrorist organizations. The activities of the two officials caught red-handed and expelled on 31 May 2020 was one example in that regard.

Diplomatic Courses for Foreign Diplomats: Foreign Service Academy- Pakistan

The Course aims to develop diplomatic skills of the participants through intensive curriculum in international relations and diplomacy. It includes an overview of the basic concepts and issues relevant to contemporary diplomacy, particularly from a developing world perspective. Participants of the course are also introduced to Pakistani culture and society, government and politics, as well as its economy.


The emergence of Islamic law outside the traditional sphere of family law was not confined to the struggle of the judiciary to contain martial law and military take-overs. Islamic law was also used in attempts to invalidate ordinary laws on the basis of an alleged repugnance to Islam.

Federal Tax Ombudsman Pakistan

The Federal Tax Ombudsman and authorized Staff Members shall
have the authority to informally conciliate, amicably resolve, stipulate, settle or
ameliorate any grievance without written memorandum and without the necessity
of docketing any complaint or issuing any official notice.
