Law of the People’s Republic of China

  • Chinese Regulations on Spoken and Written Language for Xinjiang Uygur Region-1993 - In order to promote the development and prosperity of the spoken and written languages ​​of all ethnic groups and improve the scientific and cultural level of the people of all ethnic groups, in accordance with the "Law of the People's Republic of China on Regional Autonomy of Ethnic Groups", "The Law of the People's Republic of China on Common Languages ​​and Characters" and other relevant laws and regulations
  • Civil Law of the People’s Republic of China-1986 - This Law is formulated in accordance with the Constitution and the actual situation in our country, drawing upon our practical experience in civil activities, for the purpose of protecting the lawful civil rights and interests of citizens and legal persons and correctly adjusting civil relations, so as to meet the needs of the developing socialist modernization.
  • Civil Procedure Law: People’s Republic of China - In dealing with civil litigation arising from disputes on property and personal relations between citizens, legal persons or other organizations and between the three of them, the peoples' courts shall apply the provisions of this Law.
  • CONTRACT LAW OF THE PEOPLE’S REPUBLIC OF CHINA-1999 - This Law is enacted for the purpose of protecting the legitimate rights and interests of the parties to contracts, maintaining the socio-economic order and promoting the socialist modernization- For the purpose of this Law, a contract means an agreement on the establishment, alteration or termination of a civil right-obligation relationship between natural persons, legal persons or other organizations as subjects with equal status.
  • Criminal Law of the People’s Republic of China-1997 - (Adopted at the Second Session of the Fifth National People's Congress on July 1, 1979, Revised at the Fifth Session of the Eighth National People's Congress on March 14, 1997)-Amendment VIII, adopted at the 19th Meeting of the Standing Committee of the Eleventh National People’s Congress on February 25, 2011.
  • Criminal Procedure Law: People’s Republic of China - The aim of the Criminal Procedure Law of the People's Republic of China is: to ensure accurate and timely ascertainment of facts about crimes, correct application of law, punishment of criminals and protection of the innocent against being investigated for criminal responsibility; to enhance the citizens' awareness of the need to abide by law and to fight vigorously against criminal acts in order to safeguard the socialist legal system, to protect the citizens' personal rights; their property rights, democratic rights and other rights; and to guarantee smooth progress of the cause of socialist development.
  • General Provisions of the Civil Law: China  - This Law is formulated in accordance with the Constitution of the People’s Republic of China for the purposes of protecting the legitimate rights and interests of the persons of the civil law, properly regulating civil relations and maintaining social and economic order, adapting to the need of developing socialism with Chinese characteristics and carrying forward the core socialist values.
  • Hong Kong National Security Law-People’s Republic of China - This Law is enacted, in accordance with the Constitution of the People’s Republic of China, the Basic Law of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People’s Republic of China, and the Decision of the National People’s Congress on Establishing and Improving the Legal System and Enforcement Mechanisms for Safeguarding National Security in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region,
  • Judges Law of the People’s Republic of China - Have an undergraduate degree in law from an ordinary college and have received the rank of bachelor or higher; or have an undergraduate degree or above from a full-time ordinary college in a subject other than law, and have received master's degree in law or jurisprudence; or have an undergraduate degree or above from a full-time ordinary college, have received the corresponding degree, and have specialized legal professional knowledge;
  • Law of the People’s Republic of China on Lawyers-2007 - The Law of the People's Republic of China on Lawyers, revised and adopted at the 30th Meeting of the Standing Committee of the Tenth National People's Congress of the People's Republic of China on October 28, 2007, is hereby promulgated and shall go into effect as of June 1, 2008.
  • National People’s Congress of China passed the National Security Law for Hong Kong - It provides for the crimes of splitting the country, subverting the state power, the crime of terrorist activities, collusion with foreign or foreign forces to endanger national security, and the jurisdiction, application and procedures of the law.
  • Newspaper and Periodical Quality Management Regulations – China - Newspapers' and periodicals' quality includes four items; the quality of content, proofreading, publication form, and printing; which graded as Satisfactory or Substandard. Where all four items are satisfactory, quality is satisfactory; where any of the four items is substandard, quality is substandard.
  • Pharmaceutical Administration Law of China-1984 - This Law is formulated with a view to enhancing the supervision and control of pharmaceuticals, ensuring their quality, improving their curative effects, guaranteeing safety in medication and safeguarding the health of the people.
  • Prevention and Control of Environment Pollution Caused by Solid Wastes-2020 China - The Law of the People's Republic of China on the Prevention and Control of Environment Pollution Caused by Solid Wastes, as revised and adopted at the 17th Session of the Standing Committee of the Thirteenth National People's Congress of the People's Republic of China on April 29, 2020, is hereby issued and shall come into force on September 1, 2020.
  • Prison Law of the People’s Republic of China-2012 - This Law is formulated in accordance with the Constitution for the purpose of correctly executing criminal punishments, punishing and reforming prisoners, preventing and reducing crimes.  A prison is an organ of the State for executing criminal punishments. Criminal punishments of prisoners sentenced to death with a two-year suspension of execution, life imprisonment, or fixed-term imprisonment shall be executed in prisons under the Criminal Law and the Criminal Procedure Law. A prison shall, with regard to prisoners, implement the principle of combining punishment with reform and combining education with labor, in order to transform them into law-abiding citizens.
  • Protection of Cultural Relics: Law of the People’s Republic of China - This Law is enacted in accordance with the Constitution, with a view to strengthening the protection of cultural relics, inheriting the splendid historical and cultural legacy of the Chinese nation, promoting scientific research, conducting education in patriotism and in the revolutionary tradition, and building a socialist society with cultural, ideological and material progress.
  • Regulation of Lawyers: Republic of China`s Law on Lawyers - This Law is enacted in order to improve the system governing lawyers, to standardize the practice of lawyers, to ensure that lawyers practice according to law, and to enable lawyers to play their role in the development of the socialist legal system.
  • Rules for Buddhist Monks and Nuns in Monasteries: Supervision under Socialist conditions - They must respect the leadership of the Party and government, respect the Socialist system, strenuously study relevant official policies and voluntarily accept the leadership and oversight of government offices at all levels.
