Alipurduar is a city and municipality in West Bengal, India, serving as the headquarters of the state’s 20th district. The district was formed on June 25, 2014, following its separation from Jalpaiguri. Alipurduar town, situated in the picturesque foothills of North Bengal, has evolved steadily since the formation of its municipality in 1957.
