Asadiโ€™s Garsasp-nama, expeditions to Hend and Sarandib (Sri Lanka) have been featured. Sanatan Dharma is the actual Dharmic tradition of the Hindus. People who live in Hindusthan are Hindu (The word is an original word), whether they follow Islam, Christianity, Buddhism, Mahavira, or Nanaka. In this way, Tribals are also Hindu. It is meant to lift the aspirant from the lower levels of renunciation, where objects are renounced, to the loftier heights where desires are dead, and where the YogiYogi Practising Yoga is one thing but becoming a Yogi (professional) is altogether a different thing. Yogi is a subcaste in India. Hath Yogi is a gymnast. Adi yogi is a new compound word popularised by Jaggi Vasudeva. people attach this word as a title, such as Yogi Adityanath, and Mahesh Yogi. In Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh, a begging class is called yogi. dwells in calm and ceaseless contemplation, while his body and mindMind We know nothing about its origin, growth, or demise. Where it lives, can it live without a brain? Possibly, the mind is the soul and spirit. See Consciousness are actively employed in discharging the duties that fall to his lot in life. That the spiritualSpiritual Inspirational or inspired, energetic, motivated. It is all about earthly potency. It can not be translated as Adhatmya in Sanskrit. 'Christian Spirituality' means being motivated by Christian ideas. An airy or thin, like invisible earthly matter, is also called Spiritual. "Take and receive my spirit" means take courage from me, or just blowing wind from one's mouth. man need not be a recluse, that union with the divine Life may be achieved and maintained in the midst of worldly affairs, that the obstacles to that union lie not outside us but within usโ€”such is the central lesson of the Bhagavad-Gita.

It is a scripture of YogaYoga An ancient Indian system (Codified by Patanjali ) of practices used to balance the mind and body through exercise, meditation (focusing thoughts), and control of breathing and emotions. Yoga (เคฏเฅ‹เค—เคถเฅ เคšเคฟเคคเฅเคคเคตเฅƒเคคเฅเคคเคฟเคจเคฟเคฐเฅ‹เคงเคƒ) is being studied as a way to relieve stress and treat sleep problems in cancer patients. "เคนเคฟเคฐเคฃเฅเคฏเค—เคฐเฅเคญเฅ‹ เคฏเฅ‹เค—เคธเฅเคฏ เคตเค•เฅเคคเคพ เคจเคพเคจเฅเคฏเคƒ เคชเฅเคฐเคพเคคเคจเคƒ"; now Yoga is literally union, and it means harmony with the divine LawLaw ฮฝฯŒฮผฮฟฯ‚:ย  Positive command of sovereign or divine. One can be ruled either by a Statute, a Statue, or a Statement. Legislation is the rule-making process by a political or religious organisation. Physics governs natural law. Logical thinking is a sign of a healthy brain function. Dharma is eternal for Sanatanis. Judiciary > Show me the face, and I will show you the law. Some people know how to bend the law rather than break it. Law Practice. Read a scholarly article, the becoming one with the divine Life, by the subdual of all outward-going energies. To reach this, balance must be gained, equilibrium, so that the self, joined to the Self, shall not be affected by pleasure or pain, desire or aversion, or any of the “pairs of opposites” between which untrained selves swing backwards and forwards. Moderation is therefore the keynote of the Gita, and the harmonising of all the constituents of man, till they vibrate in perfect attunement with the One, the Supreme Self. This is the aim the disciple is to set before him. He must learn not to be attracted by the attractive, nor repelled by the repellent, but must see both as manifestations of the one Lord, so that they may be lessons for his guidance, not fetters for his bondage. In the midst of turmoil he must rest in the Lord of PeacePeace ฮตแผฐฯฮฎฮฝฮท, discharging every duty to the fullest, not because he seeks the results of his actions, but because it is his duty to perform them. His heart is an altar, love to his Lord the flame burning upon it; all his acts, physical and mental, are sacrifices offered on the altar; and once offered, he has with them no further concern.

As though to make the lesson more impressive, it was given on a field of battle. Arjuna, the warrior-prince, was to vindicate his brother’s title, to destroy a usurper who was oppressing the land; it was his duty as prince, as warrior, to fight for the deliveranceSalvation ฯƒฯ‰ฯ„ฮทฯฮฏฮฑฯ‚ (ฯƒฯ‰ฯ„ฮทฯแพฑ), Moksha in Sanskrit, Moksha can not be achieved without performing Dharma, acquiring Artha ( money and meaning in life), enjoying Kama (fulfilling desires according to Dharma). ฮฑแผดฯ„ฮนฮฟฯ‚ ฯƒฯ‰ฯ„ฮทฯฮฏฮฑฯ‚ (Philo) -ย Delivery from molestation. ฮฃฯ‰ฯ„ฮทฯฮฏฮฑฯ‚- Safety money. paying the cost to the Father God for worldly safety and delivery from slavery.ย  of his nationNation A collective consciousness, founded in ancient origin within a geographic area, with definite history and heritage, culture and way of life, language and literature, food and clothing, coupled with a deep understanding of war and peace is to be known as a nation. Rasra is the Vedic word for it. and to restore order and peace. To make the contest more bitter, loved comrades and friends stood on both sides, wringing his heart with personal anguish, and making a conflict of duties as well as physical strife. Could he slay those to whom he owed love and duty, and trample on ties of kindred? To break family ties was a sin; to leave the peopleMen ฮ‘ฮฝฮธฯฯ‰ฯ€ฮฟฮน (People), a woman (ฮณฯ…ฮฝฮฑฮฏฮบฮฑ), Man (ฮ‘ฮฝฮดฯฮฑฯ‚) > Adama, Manu > No proof to establish that due to mutation a monkey turned into a human being. in cruel bondage was a sin; where was the right way? The purpose of Justice is to establish a perfect State. The State of happiness (ฮตฯ…ฯ„ฯ…ฯ‡ฮฏฮฑ) must be done, else law would be disregarded; but how slay without sin? The answer is the burden of the bookBook Council of Trent (1545โ€“1563) the Catholic Church created a Congregation of the Index, to declare a writing dangerous and to burn it, till it exists without notice. For Christians, the Bible, and for Muslims Quran, is only good for human guidance and nothing else. After Jesus, St. Peter and St. Paul are the most educated persons in the Christian world.: Have no personal interest in the event; carry out the duty imposed by the position in life, realise that Ishvara, at once Lord and Law is the doer, working out the mighty evolution that ends in bliss and peace; be identified with Him by devotion, and then perform duty as duty, fighting without passion or desire, without anger or hatred; thus activity forges no bonds, Yoga is accomplished and the soulSoul Abraham, having wept a short time over his wifeโ€™s body, soon rose up from the corpse; thinking, as it should seem, that to mourn any longer would be inconsistent with that wisdom by which he had been taught that he was not to look upon death as the extinction of the soul, but rather as a separation and disjunction of it from the body, returning back to the region from whence it came; and it came, from God. Such is the obvious teaching of this sacred book. But as all the acts of an Avatรขra are symbolical, we may pass from the outer to the inner planes, and see in the fight of Kurukshetra the battlefield of the soul, and in the sons of Dhritarรขshtra enemies it meets in its progress; Arjuna becomes the type of the struggling soul of the disciple, and Shrรฎ Krishna is the Logos of the soul. Thus the teaching of the ancient battlefield gives guidance in all later days, and trains the aspiring soul in treading the steep and thorny path that leads to peace. To all such souls in East and West come these divine lessons, for the path is one, though it has many names, and all souls seek the same goalAim ambition aspiration course desideratum design desire direction end intent intent/intention intention mark object objective plan purpose scheme target where one is heading wish, though they may not realise their unity.

In order to preserve the precision of the SanskritSanskrit It is the oldest living language and civilizational mark. The language of Rig Veda or Atharva Veda (10000 years old) is a pre-Sanskrit Vedic language. It has its own Pratisakhya (Grammar) and Nirukta (Vocabulary).ย  40% of Tamil is Sanskrit. Before the written form, it was in the form of oral tradition. Such is the case ofย  Six Kanda Ramayana. Before Valmiki, it was in Oral form. Sanskrit has been the language ofย  Jambudvipa. The mother tongue of Sunok, Vasistha, Viswamitra or grandparents ofย  Zarathustra (Resource person of Abrahamic Religions) was the language of Rig Veda. The legend goes that the origin of Sanskrit is the sky, therefore, it is called Deva Bhasa., a few technical terms have been given in the original in foot-notes; Manah is the mind, both in the lower mental processes in which it is swayed by the senses, by passions and emotions, and in the higher processes of reasoning; Buddhi is the faculty above the ratiocinating mind, and is the Pure Reason, exercising the discriminative faculty of intuition, of spiritual discernment; if these original words are not known to the reader, the Bhagavad-Gita loses much of its practical value as a treatise on Yoga, and the would-be learner becomes confused.

The epithets applied to Shrรฎ Krishna and Arjunaโ€”the variety of which is so characteristic of Sanskrit conversationโ€”are for the most part left untranslated, as being musical they thus add to the literary charm, whereas the genius of English is so different from that of Sanskrit, that the many-footed epithets become sometimes almost grotesque in translation. Names derived from that of an ancestor, as Pรขrtha, meaning the son of Prithรข, Kaunteya, meaning the son of Kuntรฎ, are used in one form or the other, according to the rhythm of the sentence. One other trifling matterMatter Normal matter is made of molecules, which are themselves made of atoms. Inside the atoms, electrons are spinning around the nucleus. The nucleus is made of protons and neutrons. Inside the protons and neutrons, exist indivisible quarks, like the electrons. All matter around us is made of elementary particles. ( building blocks of matter > quarks and leptons). All stable matter in the universe is made from particles that belong to the first-generation. Fundamental forces result from the exchange of force-carrier particles, which belong to a broader group called โ€œbosonsโ€. The strong force is carried by the โ€œgluonโ€, electromagnetic force is carried by the โ€œphoton.โ€, which is yet not trifling, if it aids the student: when Atmรข means the One Self, the Self of all, it is printed in small capitals; where it means the lower, the personal self, it is printed in ordinary type; this is done because there is sometimes a play on the wordWord ฮ›ฯŒฮณฮฟฯ‚ย , and it is difficult for an untrained reader to follow the meaning without some such assistance. The word BrahmanBrahman เคฌเฅเคฐเคนเฅเคฎ > เคฌเฅเคฐเคนเฅเคฎเคธเฅ‚เคคเฅเคฐ > เคฌเฅเคฐเคนเฅเคฎเคธเฅ‚เคคเฅเคฐเคญเคพเคทเฅเคฏเคฎเฅ > เคฌเฅเคฐเคนเฅเคฎเคœเคฟเคœเฅเคžเคพเคธเคพ > เคœเคจเฅเคฎเคพเคฆเฅเคฏเคธเฅเคฏ เคฏเคคเคƒ, the One, the Supreme, is throughout translated the “Eternal.” The word “Deva,” literally “Shining One,” is thus translated throughout. The use of the Western word “GodGod People in most cultures believe in the existence of supernatural beings and other supernatural concepts. God is attributed to both anthropomorphic properties (โ€œlistens to prayersโ€) and non-anthropomorphic properties (โ€œknows everythingโ€). Conceptualizing God is associated with willingness to get the COVID-19 vaccine or Vaccine hesitancy. Pope requested people not to practice โ€œJesus is my vaccineโ€. For the Jewish, family (Avestan universal) god became national God:ย  I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob,โ€(ex 3:15).ย  See Ishwar.ย ” alike for “Brahman” and for the “Devas” is most misleading; the Hindu never uses the one for the other, and never blurs the unity of the Supreme by the multiplicity of ministering Intelligences.

My wish, in adding this translation to those already before the public, was to preserve the spirit of the original, especially in its deeply devotional tone, while at the same timeTime ฯ‡ฯฯŒฮฝฮฟฯ‚. In order that mistakes, due to my imperfect knowledgeKnowledge Knowledge is derived from the process of an informed person integrating data from sense organs or intuition into their psyche. This concept is explored in the Vedic Nasadiya Sukta, which questions the possibility of ultimate truth or knowledge. In different languages, such as Greek, Latin, Sanskrit, and Chinese, knowledge is expressed as "ฮท ฮณฮฝฯŽฯƒฮท," "Scientia," "เคœเฅเคžเคพเคจเคฎเฅโ€Œ ," and "็Ÿฅ่ฏ† Zhฤซshรฌ," respectively., might be corrected, all of this translation has passed through the hands of one or other of the following gentlemenโ€”friends of mine at Benaresโ€”to whom I here tender my grateful acknowledgments: Bรขbus Pramada Das Mitra, Gangรขnath Jhรข, Kรขli Charan Mitra, and Upendranath Basu. A few of the notes are also due to them. In the third and fourth editions I have also been much helped by Bรขbu Bhagavรขn Dรขs, to whom I add my cordial thanks.
